Is Eating Raw Food at Night Really a Major No-No?
Raw reader Michelle recently asked:
…could you address eating fruit and vegetables late in the evening. I get hungry. Lots of articles state eating after 7 or 8 is a major no-no.
Sure thing, Michelle! Check out my thoughts on late night eating in the latest Fit On Raw video below:

P.S. Want to achieve permanent weight loss, optimal digestion, abundant energy, and optimal overall health, well-being, and longevity? You can, but you have to stop focusing on the little things (like eating before 7pm).
Instead, you need to focus on the things that really make a difference health-wise. Primarily, this means limiting the processed foods and making fresh fruits and veggies your mainstay.
But if you have crazy cravings, giving up your favorite fatty, salty, meaty, processed dishes can be all but impossible. I know because I too struggled to stay raw because of cooked food cravings.
Meal time was always a battle. What my brain wanted to eat and what my belly wanted me to shove down my face were too completely different things!
But today, I eat a 100% raw food diet and love every minute of it. I have no cravings for cooked food whatsoever, even though I live in a household with 3 COOKED FOOD EATERS!
I’m surrounded my tempting treats and yet I’m never tempted in the least. And I know that simply by following my top tips, tricks, and raw food know-how, you can finally break from the diet-binge-diet cycle, go raw, and experience the best health of your life…
Just like I have.
And I’ve laid it all out for you in my how-to go raw guide + cravings crushing program…

[..YouTube..] Thanks for your videos. They are really helpful. At the weekend I had really bad cravings and had some bread and vegan chocolate!
I was in a terrible mood on this day so I couldn`t resist. But the next day I could go on with a lot of healthy raw food. ( I am not 100% raw vegan at this moment )I don`t know I really try to get in enough calories but somezimes I feel I want to eat something different, spicy or creamy , which isn`t raw. How can I handle these cravings?

[..YouTube..] I will also add that if you having trouble with night cravings and end up eating lots of bad crap. Try “cheating” as a midday meal with something reasonable liked steamed or boiled whole foods. When your night cravings subside, learn how to eat enough fruit and veg for dinner. Eventually you can switch back to a raw lunch and you’ll be all set! This approach worked well for me.

Thanks for this, I am always hungry at night and will just have an apple instead of the ‘not so healthful’ snacks.

I like to eat no later than 6PM. When I stop eating even earlier like 5 PM or even 4 PM. I sleep even better.

G’day Swayze,
Thankyou so much for all of your input.
I’m curious. I’m really blessed in that I live alone, but my be heading back to a ‘normal’ household.
Here are my questions:
1) Do you cook for the other ‘normals’ (as opposed to ‘supranormal’ us, how’s that for a tag?!)?
2) They’ve seen the results. Why do they not follow your lead?
Thankyou again.

[..YouTube..] Completely agree Swayze, good points. Eating a few bananas before bedtime and eating a fatty nut pate` or steak dinner are night/day differences!
