Does ObamaCARE About Your Health?
I always try to stay up beat and optimistic in my posts, but I just don’t have it in me today.
President Obama’s health care reform bill passed and I’ve been in a sour mood all week. (If you read my John Mackey article, you know that I am thoroughly opposed to nationalized health insurance of any kind.)
The worst part about the whole thing is that Obama is being hailed by his fellow Democrats as a champion of human rights, social justice, AND health care.
As someone who strives to be a TRUE champion of all things healthy, I beg to differ.
What About the Food Pyramid?
Anyone who has ever come across well-known nutritional literature such as The China Study, Eat to Live, The Pleasure Trap, The 80/10/10 Diet or even Skinny Bitch knows that what we put into our mouths has a direct effect on the state of our health.
And any knowledge of human anatomy and physiology makes it painfully obvious that the USDA’s “balanced” Food Pyramid is seriously flawed. Not only does it promote a reliance on cooked foods, but it builds a foundation on fatigue-inducing, addictive cereal grains, coupled with acidic, mucus-forming, cancer-causing animal protein.
If Obama honestly cared about your health, would he really sanction a governmental department that encourages the citizens of his country to fuel themselves with nutritionally-bankrupt, harmful foods?
What About Food and Drug Control?
Many people assume that America’s Food and Drug Administration does an adequate job of approving safe, effective drugs for our use.
This could not be further from the truth.
For instance, there are MANY non-toxic, completely harmless drugs out there that are being suppressed by the FDA. As Daniel Haley notes in Politics in Healing: The Suppression and Manipulation of American Medicine:
…it is well established through clinical studies that the saw palmetto herb is more effective - and safer – at shrinking a swollen male prostate gland than the ‘approved’ brands whose advertisements are everywhere.
If a manufacturer of saw palmetto wished to state this known truth on its label, the FDA would haul that manufacturer into court in short order for having committed the sin of making health claims. The fact that they might be true is beside the point, for the FDA has arrogated unto itself the right to censor them.
Gerson Therapy is an excellent example of this censorship. Gerson therapy, a natural cancer treatment with a focus on toxin removal via raw plant foods, supplements, and enemas, has been used successfully for over 75 years (the Loma Linda Clinic in Fukushima, Japan has been using Gerson Therapy for over 16 years with a 50%+ success rate).
This simple, effective, and cheap treatment has never been FDA approved.
But what if those like the saw palmetto manufacturer or Max Gerson himself wished to get their medicinal product FDA approved? Haley writes:
A 1997 study by Tufts University found that the cost of getting FDA approval for a new drug costs upwards of $200,000,000 and may take ten years or longer. In May 2000, an article in the New England Journal of Medicine stated that getting a new drug approved could cost between $300 and 600 million.
All of this to sell an herb or eat more raw foods? What if parsley were found to be an effective treatment for, I don’t know, facial hair removal? Would it have to be FDA approved?
And what of the drugs that DO get FDA approved? Are they really safe (or even necessary)?
I’m sure you’ve seen those obnoxious commercials for Yaz, an FDA approved monthly birth control pill…
“Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday” blah blah blah
Well, some women recently filed a lawsuit against the company for experiencing several additional side effects, including blood clots, stroke, gall bladder disease, pancreatitis, and heart attack, from taking the drug.
Regardless, Yaz is STILL FDA approved.
If Obama honestly cared about your health, would he really sanction an organization that censors harmless, effective, inexpensive health products in favor of deadly, ineffective, costly, completely unnecessary drugs?
What About Freedom of Choice?
Haley again:
While every other kind of freedom is fought for by both liberals and conservatives, there’s strange silence when one brings up Health Freedom – freedom for anyone to consult the doctor of one’s choice, to obtain any therapy of one’s choice, toxic or non-toxic, and to have it paid for by one’s health insurance.
Our talk and preaching about free markets helped to bring down the Soviet Union. But we don’t practice what we preach, for we have no free market in non-toxic therapies in the U.S. – in things which by definition can’t hurt us.
And now, thanks to Obama, we’ll have no free market in health insurance either. Of course, that’s not to say that government regulation hasn’t already had a heavy hand in health care, the results of which include:
…a high death toll from cancer, the absence of effective medicine against viral diseases such as AIDS and against many bacterial infections, and the most costly health system on the planet…
…most Americans do not die from accidents, but from degenerative disease. Many treatments for the latter are excluded from the market, or their capabilities censored by the FDA, which has usurped for itself the right to dictate to manufacturers what they can say about their products.
If Obama honestly cared about your health, would he deny you the freedom of taking it into your own hands by forcing you to buy into a health system that does NOTHING to promote or encourage health for its participants?
Obama Just Doesn’t Care
Obama doesn’t care about our health and he CERTAINLY doesn’t care about freedom, personal responsibility, fairness, or the US Constitution.
If Obama really cared, wouldn’t he severely reduce the censoring power of the FDA? Wouldn’t he promote a free market economy and the inevitable inclusion of cost effective, non-toxic products? Wouldn’t he sing the praises of a low fat, plant based diet and lifestyle?
So then what DOES Obama care about? Oh, I think we know the answer to that…
ahem *power, money, those lovely pearly whites* ahem
Go raw and be fit,
Swayze
P.S. Obama may not give a rat’s rear end about our health, but I sure as hell do and you should too! And if you were unaware, one of the absolute best ways to improve your health (and look fabulous to boot) is to adopt a healthy and sustainable low fat raw vegan diet.
And I’ve got just the thing to help you do that…delicious raw recipes, of course!

And everyone in the room said ” A M E N ” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, folks, our fabulous country is changing (going down) as we speak. It's now time to speak up and turn some things around. C'mon fellow baby boomers – there POWER in numbers!!!
Well here's a silver lining in the black cloud–Americans living ABROAD are exempt from having to buy into the “Health Care” plan.
http://bucks.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/03/23/what-…
Hi Swayze, great post. But perhaps Obama just isn't educated about the benefits of a low fat raw vegan diet? Maybe he needs someone to point it out to him. Like him, and almost everyone else, I grew up being taught that grains are good, that milk builds strong bones and teeth, that we need to eat meat to be strong. Obama isn't a nutrition expert, and hasn't read up extensively on the benefits of a raw vegan diet. So maybe it's not that he doesn't care about our health, he just cares for it in the wrong way… Like how my own mother 'cares' for my health by giving me msg-laden food, and boils vegetables and feeds me white rice porridge when i am sick, to 'cure' me. They just don't know any better.
Great rant!! Folks like you give me hope for the future.
Swayze, I could not agree with you more. I am so furious about this health care bill and by the time we're 40, the debt from it will be so ridiculous and we'll be the ones paying for it. The government is completely taking away our freedom. What if I don't want health care? I guess I don't have a choice in the matter now.
Swayze,
I have enjoyed reading your articles on the raw diet, however I find your commments in this artice rather offensive, and somewhat misinforrmed.
I am not disputing the fact that a lfrv diet has not been promoted in this bill. However, the current “health care” system is completely broken, on account of the greed of the for-profit insurance companies, and their enablers in Congress, both Democrat and Republican.
To me this bill is deeply flawed, but nevertheless does take a step forward by eliminating some of the most egregious abuses of the insurance industry.
What needs to be done is to take the profit out of health care. Then and only then will there be more focus on prevention and the benefits of things like a lfrv diet. As it stands now, there is money to be made on people if they are sick, so there is no incentive to promote prevention in a meaningful way.
I am totally against mandated insurance. But this bill represents a move away from the current system.
I have not seen any constructive alternative offered by the Republicans. They seem to be fine with the fact that thousands of people die an early death each year on account of not having health insurance.
Wouldn't it be great if the whole country embrace Natural Hygiene? But how do we get there? We've tried the current system for a long time, and what has it brought us?
The suggestion that Obama doesn't care about our health is preposterous. He's just a politician who is trying to do something about the current broken system. In the name of “compromise” he has come up with something that is a small steip in the right direction in some ways, but mostly just a big gift to the insurance companies. The only difference I see with the Republicans, is that they want to give an even bigger gift to the insurance companies, since they are dependent on them for campaign contributions.
I used to read your site with interest, as I am on a quest to discover *my* best health. However, this specious, partisan piece — which demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of history, government, or the current problems faced by people in the country, largely due to insurance issues — has turned me off for good. One need only look to the White House garden project to know that health IS a priority of the Obamas (more so than any other occupants I can think of). That they have to operate in the minefield of special issues, in a congress and government that is positively gridlocked by partisanship is an entirely separate issue. I hope with your improving health comes a more open mind and less bitter heart. However, I will no longer be visiting this site, and I am confident I am not alone.
There isn't a more dangerous, yet more positively-spun, phrase right now than “social justice.” Look it up. It's destructive in every way. And yet our President and everyone around him throws it around like we all doing charity work. Disgusting.
It would be great if we could clear up the “health care mess.” But as far as I am concerned, taking away our liberties and tearing up the constitution is a FAR larger problem.
Swayze thank you for being brave and out-spoken. A large portion of your audience will disagree with you and you may lose some fans, but the truth must be said. I applaud you.
Swayze I saw this coming. I knew a long time ago that the government should not be the one to control my health. I have to control my own health which is why I have purchased your raw recipe book and I have made a commitment to myself to eat only fruits and vegetables to be the best optimum health I can. And when I retire I want to move to Costa Rica or some other island where the fruit is plentiful and the sun is always shining.
i do like some of what you write on your blog but i have to say that today, i felt like i was reading something a 10 year old wrote.
when you write :
“Wouldn’t he sing the praises of a low fat raw vegan diet and the principles of Natural Hygiene?”
i do wonder, what you have in your mind. although i do believe in a raw food diet, i also believe that it is not the only way to go and to say that if one doesn't “sing the praises” of raw foods, he doesn't care about the whole nation's health, is just a joke.
i do hope that you think more before you write about important issues. it definitely shows here you have not done any kind of research before deciding how bad obama is.
i am truly disappointed. hope for better.
always remember that your truth is not the only truth.
would you be able to look at it as if the government is not controlling your health, but trying to help all of it's citizens?
you definilty need to be in control for you health and good job for doing it. but what about all the people who just don't have the money to pay for insurance?!?! how can you forget them?
Obama is not trying to fix the current system. The Insurance companies WROTE the bill! They put on a show about how they're so against it, when they paid the legislators to vote for it. Don't just listen to the mainstream media telling you the health insurance companies are/were against the bill. ALL members of Congress are dependent on insurance companies for campaign or bribe money.
The truth of the matter is, the bill states that you are REQUIRED TO BUY health insurance. Doesn't that sound like insurance companies wrote it?
I'm a Leftist all the way – I do think everyone has a right to free health care. But this bill that was just signed into law is NOT FREE. It states in the bill that the IRS will be in charge of keeping tabs on whether you have insurance or not, and if you don't, you will have penalties much like you would had you incorrectly paid/didn't file your taxes. If you do have insurance, they will just withdraw the costs directly from your bank account. All this for an unconstitutional law that states you MUST buy from a private company.
The US is no longer a place for free market or free country when your government mandates you purchase something at your own expense…
I'm angered that mainstream Leftists believe this is free health care. READ THE BILL! It's full of exemptions for tiny groups while everyone else must comply, almost every state has their own specific differences, the fees and fines are through the roof — you'll even be taxed 40% if you want a Cadillac plan! And it's all because the people were misled and the insurance companies were scheming for this all along.
My heart goes out to everyone who can't afford the required payments in this bill.
If you'd like to see for yourself (and you have any knowledge in legal documentation) here's the link:
The Bill: HR3962 http://docs.house.gov/rules/health/111_ahcaa.pdf

On a side note, notice how those who've voted for Obama will never see fault in him. OPEN YOUR EYES!!! He has NOT made change for the better. He ran on an anti-war platform, yet he's continuing the bombing of innocent people in Afghanistan, sending more and more troops to our occupation of Iraq, contemplating going into Pakistan and Iran? How is this change from Bush?
Sigh…
He may have gotten you health care, but with so many strings attached that you'll probably end up being strangled…
Aryn you are misinformed about the background agenda. Look at how Swayze is standing up for our freedom to choose. Ask yourself a question. Have you benefited from her wealth of knowledge for your health? I am sure her research has inhanced your health. How is the government doing that for you? Medical doctors are the Number 1 killer, not cancer or heart attacks. Get educated before you cut your nose off despite your ignorant belief system. Swayze thank you for being an American and speaking up for our freedom. It takes courgage to take action and cowards to complain!!!
Yes, and we could acknowledge her stand for our freedom of choice instead of judging her. For it takes courage to speak one's truth.
You have just lost my support. I erase you from my raw food list. This link should not be political Shame!
Really, I haven't had insurance for 10 years, because I know how to self heal and we can all do it. And now I have to manditorially pay for something that I will not use. Wake up people!!!! Why are the americans giving their power over to others. “Place no gods before me” . “Healer know thy self, heal thy self”. Why is the government not bringing in alternative eastern modalities to heal? Because the docs make money. They make money keeping the masses sick. wake up!!! It's a merry go round. Have you ever heard of miraculous healing? It exists. We do not need western medicine, when we have the herbs that grow for free to assist us in healing. Swayze, thank you again for taking a risk and speaking your truth. I wish we would all gather and do this and really change the system.
Yes, start a grassroots movement in your town. Get educated on the declaration of independence, Constitution and bill of rights. Start having town meetings and build community again!!! It starts with our local gov, then state. Demand that we stop accepting federal money. Stop consuming. Remember, “We the people” it's us that can change anything. Stand in unity and love! We can do this if we all get together.
Wake up!!!! you are the future. We are the future. We have to stop being afraid and act in love. Self love!!!
If nobody paid it what would they do? This is unconstitutional.
Amen Sister! Spread the word and start waking people up again. We have been mass mind hypnotized by Television and corporations. Why do they not talk about raw food diets on tv or show you movies of relationships being self actualized. Because then you would need to by into all the marketing manipulation and spend money.Turn off your tv's and start reading again. Build your communities!!!!
We need to discover how co-dependent our society has gotten. God helps those who help themselves. It seems most people are looking to someone else for the answer, when the answer for each person lies inside of them. we only need to ask the questions. People need someone to talk to to heal. But we have to be willing to open our minds. There is more out there than what's on tv. Get informed on youtube, internet, books, etc. Americans don't want to do the work, we've been handing the responsibility over to the gov and now look what is happening. What is it going to take for us to move, be responsible and self governed?
Swayze, despite the various reactions that your viewers have expressed, remember that you are completely entitled to voicing your opinion about whatever you desire. It is freedom of speech. It is okay that you spoke out, even if people didn't like it. You have that right.
Hi Swayze,
Obama is a puppet for the Elite.. According to Lyndon LaRouche Obama is going, going, gone .. Bill Gates is big on depopulation.. the Codex Alimentarius threat and the big pharmaceutical industry.. The outlaw of organic farming is another.. it goes on and on -:(
Swayze- The raw vegan diet is not for everyone. I am a diabetic, and I went on it (80-10-10) for over 2 months. While I felt a natural buzz, my blood sugar was at an all time high, I developed an iron deficiency and candida. I had to quit it.
Also, I have 2 kids. Both of them have had broken arms, from skateboarding. Thank God I had insurance when that happened. Health insurance is not just for illnesses.
I voted for Obama, and back him. I think you should keep your political opinions to yourself, unless you want to lose more subscribers, like you just lost me. This is a raw food newsletter, not a political podium. If you want to talk politics, start a new website and get a new list.
GOP'ers are closet elitist racists. Some people are born with disease (pre-existing conditions). This means your methods equal death for these people. Also, you have no clue what is in the bill because I'm certain you didn't all 2200 pages you unformed spin doctor.
I am shocked and appalled at this stance. How dare you blame the President for trying to equalize and create affordable health care for all!
You are so misinformed. Please take my name off your mailing list. You obviously want to blame the ills of our federal gov't on the one person who (had been in office 14 months) is trying to eradicate decades of abuse, greed, and “old boy network”
under the disguise of him not not caring about health care! What is the White House garden project? What is the First Lady's initiative on fighting obesity? I guess that's not health care. The health care system is BROKEN!!! And to use your blog that should be non-partisan you step into an area you obviously know VERY LITTLE ABOUT. It would have served you well to stay in the RAW FOOD LANE. I now question your credibility if you can't get your facts straight. The BIGGER question is does Swaze really care or is she just following the piped piper of the republicans who would'nt tell the truth if their mother's life depended on it. chw/germantown,tn
Nice post Swayze and thanks for sticking to your values and promoting the free market! It's nice to hear that from a raw-foodist.
One thing is for sure: this bill is not going to take the US in the right direction.
It's interesting that pets get better health care treatment in North American than humans. Because of the free market, there's lots of Animal Hospitals everywhere and each of them competes to give the best service at the best price possible. Whenever I brought my dog to the vet in Canada, I got amazing service!
Now compare that to going to the doctor in Canada: you have no option. You cannot just shop around to find a private practitioner that might give you a better treatment because they all work for the government, and it's all paid for with your taxes.
You are literally treated like crap and doctors make it a point to spend the least time possible with you. Good luck if you want to ask any questions, you are being almost made fun.
Then if you need something major done, you must wait for months to be treated (if you're lucky).
Your only option to get in faster is either know someone who works at the hospital and play that card, or pay to get treated in the USA or abroad — which is anyway what everyone of means do.
I agree that the US health care system is broken, but the answer is not to try to make it more like Canada or Europe.
Health care is not a “right”, it's a service provided by professionals and these professionals should be more free to practice and offer a wide range of solutions and compete with each other— this is what ultimately will bring the price of health care down.
The true human right is the right to freedom.
PS: Don't worry if you polarize your audience a bit with this and lose a few subscribers. You're a libertarian and your list is about raw foods and freedom and whatever you choose. You're the one who's providing this website for everybody to enjoy — and if someone doesn't like it, they can go somewhere else to find another platform that fits them better.
As a wise person once said, “It's best not to talk about politics and religion.” Especially to strangers.
While I appreciate your views Swayze, there are too many people that get your email and they all have various viewpoints.
I do enjoy your views and upbeat reminders on Raw Food, so here's hoping you find a way to apologize to those you offended, move on and do your best not to tread outside your subject matter again.
it is one thing to talk about freedom of choice, and another to write a post like she did. to write that Obama doesn't care about the health of the American people is just a joke.
In her own words: “Obama doesn’t care about our health and he CERTAINLY doesn’t care about freedom, personal responsibility, fairness, or the US Constitution:
there are many things you can say about Obama, these will not be on the list.
Well said Swayze. There are many solutions to a problem and you can always tell the intentions of our government by the solution they choose. Their solutions always benefit the few due to the fact it's the few who are really in control of our govmt.
Who are you to define what Swayze's subject matter is?
I will not apologize for my article today. I spoke my mind, as I always do. I really don’t understand why anyone would be offended by something someone posted on the internet.
Furthermore, I did not stray from the topic. This is a health and fitness blog and the new bill is about health care. It may be a bit controversial, but certainly not off topic.
And what’s the benefit of owning your own website if you can’t put forward any content you please? Until someone else decides to front me the moolah for the domain registration, autoresponder, etc., I’ll continue to speak my mind and publish articles as I see fit.
Who knows, I may just post an article on my new fav show RuPaul’s DragRace or the joy of lolcats in the future? Only kidding… ^o^
I really don’t give a hoot if Obama cares about my health or not; I just want him to stay out of it. And if he really does care, his support of this bill either makes him seriously misinformed or a total hypocrite.
I’m not sure what you mean by “get my facts straight.” What facts did I present that were false?
And when did I ever say that I am a Republican?
I was kind of being cheeky with that comment. While low fat, high fruit IS the most optimal diet for the human species, I recognize that people can drastically improve their health on similar plans (e.g. a low fat cooked plan).
Guess I should have thrown in a smiley or two to make things more clear.
“What needs to be done is to take the profit out of health care. Then and only then will there be more focus on prevention and the benefits of things like a lfrv diet. As it stands now, there is money to be made on people if they are sick, so there is no incentive to promote prevention in a meaningful way.”
You write as if the American health care system is currently privatized. It most certainly is not. Here’s a good article on the matter:
http://spectator.org/archives/2009/07/21/the-ma…
Well, I try my best.
Very well said. It’s no wonder you hear so many Democrats, Republicans, and Libertarians alike shaming this bill, as well as Obama’s current track record.
No risk at all, really. A few lost subscribers, but no death threats…yet. Totally kidding, folks. ^o^
If by “keeping us sick,” you mean treating the symptoms rather than the cause, then yes, I suppose doctors do make money (not as much as they used to) keeping us sick. However, I don’t believe that all doctors are determined to do so or that it is at all intentional; they are just severely misinformed and so is the general public.
And I’m sure there are some who believe in alternative – perhaps even Hygienistic(?) – treatments, but are afraid to recommend them due to strict FDA regulation.
As time progresses and people become better educated (thank you, internet!…just look at the booming low fat raw movement!), doctors will be “forced” to respond to consumer knowledge and demand. Of course, that assumes that we have a health care system subject to free market forces, which we (very clearly now) do not.
If anyone truly is interested in getting involved, there are several Ron Paul groups around the country, as well as Campaign for Liberty, Tea Party, etc.
Check out http://www.meetup.com
Just to be clear, I am not against health insurance. I am very much in favor of more cost affective alternatives, specifically Health Savings Accounts:
http://abcnews.go.com/2020/Stossel/story?id=360…
And until Obama decides that someone else has the “right” to the content on my own website, I will continue to publish articles as I see fit.
Thanks, rd. Freedom of speech is a tenant we’ll all do well to remember.
Then I advise you never to take any sort of cultural anthropology course. You’d be amazed how many times you’ll hear phrases like “social injustice,” and “environmental racism” uttered in just one 60-minute lecture.
Oh definitely. There is no doubt in my mind that Obama knows next to nothing about raw foods, much less a high fruit raw diet. My point is simply that his current actions do not support human health, freedom, or our pocketbooks in any way, shape or form.
Sweet! Tropical paradise, here I come!
Aww shucks, thanks Dad. *blush*
Well, as Karmyn points out, Americans abroad are exempt. Maybe we'll just have to pack up our fruity selves and head on over Panama…
Amen, maybe I'll see ya there.
Did you read all 2200 pages?
How can you be certain that I didn't read the entire bill? Okay, so maybe I didn't…
… but that's the beauty of the internet! I get to benefit from everyone else's hard work:

Animal care, what a great example! Another good one – albeit semi-controversial – is plastic surgery. Here’s a great article: (seems I’m full of ‘em today)

Well, I’ve certainly lost a few subscribers, but it’s no big surprise. As long as I’m being honest with myself and my readers, I’m happy.
And receiving supportive comments like yours doesn’t hurt either.
Oh and I'm sure all the members of CONGRESS read all 2200 pages!
Oh and if you think there aren't any closet elitist racists on the left then you're SERIOUSLY uninformed!
Oh and I'm sure all the members of CONGRESS read all 2200 pages!

So true, Frederic!
I believe that REGARDLESS of the framework of our healthcare system, and from where the funds are derived, healthcare is absolutely an individual responsibility. And, until we as individuals, start demanding better quality care from our practitioners (despite who is providing their paycheck), nothing will change. We need to start requiring doctors to be better trained in nutrition and lifestyle choices as the frontline for “medical” care, and distinguishing between preventative and urgent care as two distinct fields of medicine requiring different focuses of training. Just my 2 cents.
Go get 'em Tiger!
It is not our government's job to take care of us. Our “democracy” was founded such that government was meant to keep order and protect our borders. We have strayed too far from this ideal and are becoming more socialist by the day.
The Health Care Bill is a sham and is another factor hastening our country's implosion.
Plus, if you can't voice your opinion on your own blog then what's the point? It is definitely on topic for “Fit on Raw”.
You definitely got a lot of responses from it. The search engines will love all these folks, negative or positive!
Please remove me from your mailing list. May you be blessed with good health.
I remember when I wasn't into raw foods. It wasn't that I didn't care about my health, I just wasn't that evolved/informed yet. I'm sure that Obama has been concentrating on other avenues and hasn't discovered the raw health movement. I give him some leeway, I believe his intentions are good. I blame the greedy insurance industry for the mess we came into being. I think medical doctors are great for broken bones, car accident injuries, etc. And I think eating correctly (raw vegan) goes a long way toward healing illness. So we still need doctors (health coverage) for accidents, etc. Since one person can rarely carry that financial burden of coverage by oneself – we need to help each other against catastrophic happenings. And I'm glad we can choose to eat what we want – to help us at the illness end.
I believe Obama has helped protect us by sharing the financial burden of needing a doctor.
I think this is interesting.
1 Obama gets all the blame for this even though we know he may not know about the lifestyle of Raw
2. No one blogging has read the entire health bill
3. Most of you that are blogging are healthy and probably have no health problems
4. Many people that are sick do not know what we know and just do what they know or are told to do to get well. For some medicine works for others it does not. However, it is important to really show some grace, love and true understanding when people are sick and we do not have enough RAW Foodist educating people nationwide about the truth.
Let's have some grace and mercy because we have people who have pre-existing conditions that the doctors can treat being denied.
Do I agree with the entire healthcare system, ohh no, there are some major, major flaws, but lets not put this all on Obama, OK.
We all have a responsibility to get the word out, help the people, hell even start a raw education revolution to stop this, but pointing fingers and not having to deal with sicknesses such as others does not give us a right to point blame, lets just come together or come up with something to teach others the truth.
Lesley
Excellent comment, Lesley!
Putting all the blame on Obama is rediculous in my opinion. What about all the politicians in previous administrations who supported the current system?
And you are absolutely correct that we need to show compassion for people who are sick but don't have the information we have.
Tracie said: — I haven't had insurance for 10 years, because I know how to self heal and we can all do it (…) –
Let's all hope that you are never in tough car accident. The only thing that will put you back together is a quick ambulance response team, followed by 8 hours of intensive care through an emergency room and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cutting-edge pharmaceuticals and highly trained medical staff.
When such a circumstance happens, it will matter very little how lean your liver is and how much chlorophyll you've consumed in your lifetime. And when the bill comes to you at half a million dollars, you'll be thankful that your government has a new health insurance system in place to catch you and overcome your lack of preparedness.

antiwackness, I have a solution: LOOK OUT FOR YOURSELF! Stop expecting the government to look out for you because, let’s face it, neither the democrats nor republicans are going to do it (for the record I’m neither–I consider myself a LIBERTARIAN).
Take care of yourself and you will never be broke or in poor health!
