ObamaCare Discussion

Just a quick shout out to everyone who commented on the ObamaCARE article last week. There’s been some really good discussion and the language stayed clean despite the controversial nature of the subject.

Thanks for all your feedback!

And UBER thanks to everyone who recently purchased Low Fat, Fruit Filled, High Fun Raw Recipes. The sales have really been pouring in over the last few days and it’s really quite exciting! :)

3 Signs the Fruity Raw Way Isn’t Right for You

Let me guess.  You have this crazy friend/co-worker/family member who eats a raw vegan diet.

You actually witnessed him eating 10 mangoes in ONE SITTING and then eating another 10 just 3 hours later!

That said, he does look pretty healthy…

So here you are, trying to find out what this crazy “low fat raw” diet is all about (crazy being the operative word, because you really REALLY don’t wanna give up all your cooked food comforts!)

Never fear, my little cooked food fanatic!  While this diet totally rawks, it definitely isn’t for everyone.

Here are 3 signs that the most optimal human diet just isn’t right for you:

#1: You Fetishize Over Your Fat Cells

You’ve got a behind like a beluga whale, a belly full of jelly, and cheeks the envy of the entire puffer fish community.  You flaunt your fat like nobody’s business and you wouldn’t have it any other way!

Skinny minis are all malnourished undereaters, anyway.  I mean, who wants to work for a sexy, slim, rawk hard bod when you can eat whatever you want, sit on your round rump all day, and stay big and beautiful?!

Heart disease, Diabetes, high blood pressure…BRING IT ON!

#2: You Have a Love Affair with Laziness

Your idea of a good day involves watching all your favorite daytime court shows, surfing the web for hours on end, and taking several long, rejuvenating naps.

The less you’re required to move, the better.

Compound that with all the fatty, salty snacks you desire and we’re talkin’ the BEST DAY EVER!

#3: Your *Stuff* Stinks and You Like It!

I mean, if you remember correctly.

It’s been so long since you’ve actually “gotten down to business,” what with all the barely digestible toxic, dehydrated gunk you’ve been shovin’ in your pie hole.

And when you DO finally make a pit stop at the potty, it’s an all day affair!

Actually, this works just fine for you.  How else are you going to find the time to catch up on all your reading?

Keep Kickin’ it Cooked Style

If any of these signs apply to you, then a fruit-filled diet is definitely not your thing.

If you still wanna go raw, perhaps you should go check out the high fat, super salty, supplement-pushing, stimulant-loving mainstream raw foodists.  A fad lifestyle like theirs will be sure to keep you fully flabby, lazy, and flatulent!

Go raw and be fit,

Swayze

P.S. Hope you all liked this little article.  I figured it’d be a good way to lighten the mood after last week’s hot button topic. :)

Swayze much respect for your blog and great free information. I´ve only been trying to go raw now for 5 months. I ate too much fat (too many nuts) and suffered the consequences after I did a month on 80-10-10 and felt great..Currently 70% raw..with one cooked meal a day although i do go 4 days. Been doing some research tell me what you think.
Dr. Fred Bisci- A nutritionist with 40+ years experience eating Raw would disagree that fruit is the way to go and guy is 80 years old and still runs 5 miles a day, Brian Clement of the Hippocrates institute also.. So while in the short term high fruit low fat is great for detox long term I have my doubts. Likewise, searching for calories through fat isn´t the answer either. With fruit there are issues of dimineralization of teeth and bones from peeing so much on this diet. Last month my tooth chipped despite rinsing after eating fruit and brushing and flossing daily. (Vegetable juicing of beet greens and carrot and spinach might be a good option for direct absorption of calcium. A practice advocated by Dr. Norman Walker..raw foodist that lived 101 years to 108 years. Minerals frequently go to healing organs first if just eaten or blende leaving the teeth neglected. This is due to peeing so much on this diet high fruit low fat diet.- Dr. Fred Bisci , Matt Monarch Raw Success
Furthmore the detox that is too fast for your organs and eliminatory system. This might explain why people slip up and have binges occassionally their body is telling them to slow down the detox. So it might be good to take breaks with a cooked meal so that your organs can keep up and eliminate the toxins and/or do colonics or do colema board and or liver flush once every two weeks otherwise you´re just bathing in your toxins. -Dr. Fred Bisci, Matt Monarch Raw Success
Finally, as you become cleaner you get more sensitive leaving you more vulnerable to the deleterious effects of this toxic world, leaving you vulnerable…to pollution and other toxins. See blood gas theory Dr. Fred Bisci PS- Been having gas too with high fruit low fat approach.

Swayze,
Yes, I liked this article much better.
Thanks for being a good sport and for lightening the mood.
Actually, I’d rather you talk about your new favorite show RuPaul’s DragRace (whatever that is), than talk about the POTUS.
But, like you said, it’s your Blog and you ARE free to write whatever you choose. And I get to choose to read it or not.
It’s just like choosing to Rawk it Raw or not.
I’d still vote for you again for the best raw food site, so keep it up.

“Compound that with all the fatty, salty snacks you desire and we’re talkin’ the BEST DAY EVER!”
Sick the next day, and the rest of your life?
You speak sooth my dear friend, I had a rather pleasant grin on that one
esp. since I was suspended from a raw food site for enthusiastic 80/10/10 references and wins I had posted with too much abandon.
I've been able to keep MY body alive with raw tropical fruit, sunshines vitamin D and Magnesium oil, after many strokes.
“Paradise Eating”, we all have the right to our universe the way we want it.
Thanks Swayze, you silver tongued angel.

you are so funny! awesome news letter

You say that you don't agree with the high fat approach either so where do you suppose that raw foodists get their calories from?

It is highly unlikely that you chipped a tooth because of one month on low fat, high fruit. Demineralization of the body simply doesn't work that quickly.

Demineralization from peeing “too” much? Haven't heard that one before.

Binges are 99.99999999% of the time due to eating too little, not from detoxing too quickly. Yes, you may have withdrawal symptoms at first (e.g. headaches, fatigue, brain fog, etc.) as a result of giving up certain foods – esp. from stimulating substances such as caffeine – but this does not mean that you should continue to eat them; eating those foods again will only prolong the process. Give your body a few days and the symptoms will leave.

Who are these super sensitive raw foodists walking around who just drop down dead from whiff of cigarette smoke? That's what I'd like to know.

Awesome, thanks for stickin' around. :)

And I may just have to take you up on the DragRace article offer…

Thanks, Dawn! I try my darndest. ^o^

I suppose all the super sensitive raw foodists are dead from second hand smoke so they can´t answer question jeje.
An optimal Diet is balance between how clean you want to get and how resistant you need to be to deal with daily exposure to toxins. (See blood gas theory -Dr. Fred Bisci)
Firstly, I´m just sharing information. There´s alot of mixed information out there on raw foodism. This is the info I´ve obtained from 80-10-10 /Raw Success Matt Monarch-Fred Bisci/ and Spiritual Nutrition- Gabriel Cousens hopefully saving bloggers out there a few bucks!
Secondly, I love fruit I eat it everyday…and maybe like some of you out there I´m trying to find what works best for me. Everyone is different. Some people metabolize fruit and it makes their blood ph more acidic than alkaline. (Gabriel Cousens- Spiritual Nutrition)

Dr. Fred Bisci is a man who was for 40 years a raw vegan a Phd in Nutrition and has healed over 25,000 people through his dietary recommendations. He is in excellent shape at 80 years and still runs 5 miles a day. Because of Dr. Bisci´s experience I don´t think it unreasonable to take his advice seriously.
He seems to think that demineralization of bones and teeth for people on a high fruit approach because of fermentation of fruit when overeaten within the digestive system creates an acidic condition within the body which is further compounded by endogenous wastes that are trying to be removed creates even more acidity this over acidic condition creates hair and tooth lose long term.
This is an extreme diet with both extreme benefits and extreme risks.
Cousens, Bisci, and Clement-long term raw foodists concur that fruit has long term risks. But short term it seems to be working.
Exercise can help get rid of some of this acid condition and also eating greens. Colonic once a month to 4 times a month, Juicing of dandilion greens, beet greens with carrot has been recommend of greens has been advocated by Dr. Bisci and practiced by Norman Walker.
Ok where do we get the calories…that´s a fair question over time we´re supposed to evolve to a low caloric intake but there´s no hurry. -Best of luck -Chris

Fermentation should not occur unless there is an interference in digestion of some kind, such as the presence of too much fat.

I do not think this is an extreme diet at all. It certainly isn't the norm, but it is not extreme. How can eating the foods that best nourish and fuel the body be extreme? Now a low carb, high fat raw diet of grass and fats, that is definitely extremely risky.

I'm sure people like Matt Monarch have good intentions, but you do not need a colonic once a month (or more) or AT ALL! This is a completely unnecessary and dangerous procedure.

And I really don't understand the obsession with juicing either. A juiced food is a refined product; the vital fiber has been removed. If you're worried about assimilation, buy a blender and make a smoothie!

So for now I guess we just suffer through the low energy, mental fog, cravings, etc. of eating a fuel-deficient diet and pray that one day our body will be “clean” enough to survive on 1000 calories or less a day? I'm sorry, but that's just absurd.
