Should We Indulge in Salty Raw Recipes?

sea salt spilling out of bowl

I mentioned in last week’s article on indulging in high fat raw recipes that I would post a future article on salty raw recipes.

As you may well know, mainstream raw recipes aren’t just known for their high fat content (many of these dishes contain over 50% of their calories from fat!), but also for the gargantuan amount of salt used.

Well, I was going to write up my own little experience on salt, but then Karmyn let me know that both her and Roger recently posted articles on the very topic.

It seems they already did the work for me! :D

So check out the two links below for Karmyn and Roger’s experience with some salty raw restaurant food.

Karmyn’s “Thirsty Enough to Drink TOILET WATER”

http://karmynmalone.com/?p=299

Roger’s “Count Cracula Sucks the Water Right Out of Us”

http://rogerhaeske.com/?p=470

Yikes, I’m thirsty just reading the titles!

Go raw and be fit,

Swayze

Those were great, Swayze! Had read both of them before but it was good to be reminded. Funny that Roger said, “now go eat some grapes” since I’m sitting here happily munching on some! :) )

Hi Swayze

Thanks, and I do get emails from Roger and know all about salt,
which I never use. I have also posted his information on my blog.

Also, visit my blog http://www.rawsomegal.wordpress.com and read about my 42 day cleanse using coconut water and stevia in my water, and finished mid-January. I have also written about my transition back to food. I continue to write about health related topics and post daily (off on weekends). To read about my cleanse from day 1, click on December 2009. Share this with others who may be interested and I love to receive comments. You can also subscribe so you will always receive the latest posts in you email inbox.

Namaste!
