In the spirit of the holiday, I have a little gift for you today. No, it isn’t a box of chocolates, a thoughtful card, or undersized lingerie (tee hee)…
It’s a raw food tip, of course!

I AM NEW AND WOULD LOVE TO KNOW ALL ABOUT THIS PROGRAM I STARTED ABOUT 3 WKS AGO. I AM HAVING TROUBLE GETTING THE VIDEO’S . HOW MANY CALORIES SHOULD I BE EATING IF I WANT TO LOOSE WEIGHT THANKS
i was unable to view your comment on how to keep bannanas from ripening to fast. can u resend it. thanks.
eat more veggies
Thank you for your tip. Very useful
If you get over ripe bannanas, you can cut them in one inch pieces, put them in a baggie and freeze them. They are great when you add them to any shake. They make the shake nice and thick as well as extra cold. I have not had to throw any away!
I never throw ripe bananas away either – if I can’t eat them fast enough, they get peeled and put in the freezer for smoothies and banana ice cream!

Great tips, guys! Banana ice cream is super yummy.
I remember the old song, “Never put bananas in the refrigerator”, I beleive it was Carmen Maranda. But, as the lady in the video says, and it makes complete sense, just when they are yellow and to keep them from over ripening too fast. I will do it. It’ll be a first for me.
Thanks.

[..YouTube..] I discovered that you can stall the ripening process by cutting the stem off the banana when it is at the ‘flavor zone’ you prefer. (at room temp) You can leave it on the counter for many more days, and have it taste like it did when you cut the stem.Try it. It works GREAT!

[..YouTube..] Hmm…..I have heard that bananas give out gases and other byproducts while ripening, and hence should be kept separate outside in an open space. They say that it can quicken the ripening process of other products around it, which is why they advise against putting it in the fridge. What is your observation from your experiment? Did you find that other fruits ripen quickly when you put bananas inside the fridge, or did the other fruits just stay fresh like normal? Thanks for posting…
