What Does a Low Fat Raw Vegan Eat for Thanksgiving?
It’s Thanksgiving here in the US and I hope all my American readers out there are having a super scrumptious and fun time!
I sure am! So much so, in fact, that I decided to shoot a little video for you all.
Don’t mind the hair, I just showered. I finally drum up the courage to do another video and wouldn’t ya know it…I look like a wet rat!
UPDATE
Sadly, I did not fully complete my mission.
I seriously underestimated the power of the super-sweet, but oh-so delicious, Medjool date. I’m not used to eating so many at one time and man, do they stick to your ribs!
Even still, I think I made a valiant effort…
There’s always next year (or tomorrow), right?
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Go raw and be fit,
Super-Statisfied Swayze

Great vid, Swayze! Good try, LOL.
I had a banana /date smoothie and 5 persimmons for breakfast. Lunch at restaurant with family: salad with romaine, spinach, cherry toms, and orange wedges (about 4-5 oranges worth at a buffet restaurant?? I was so happy!) with food I brought from home: chopped zucchini and also a dressing of red pepper, 4-5 plum toms, 1/2 avocado, some cilantro. So good!!
Off to a friend’s house now with clemintines!
Happy Thanksgiving…I’m thankful for you…

Thanks, I did my best.
Wow, sounds like you had a deliciously fruit-filled day! My salad did pretty well (my Mom really liked it) and my Aunt made a nice little fruit plate of romaine lettuce, pear, blueberries and pomegranates seeds. I never cared for pomegranate before (too expensive and too much work), but it is is delicious with the blueberries. If I decide to make another raw pie for Xmas, it will definitely include the blueberry-pomegranate combo.
Aww, I’m thankful for you, too! It’s so nice to pull up the blog when I’m having a “meh” day and see all the wonderful comments from you guys.

OMG, you guys were so good! I did a 5k this morning, then ate a lb. of grapes, a pear, an apple and a bunch of raw veggies. But I had dinner with a ton of friends and I so caved and ate crap. One plate of cooked food, but several small desserts over the day as well. Ugh. Oh, well, I’ve already forgiven myself and got my whole day’s menu planned for tomorrow – all raw fruits and veg. Maybe next year I’ll be strong enough to do the right thing!
The only saving grace for me is that I wound up getting 5 more miles of walking in addition to the 5k, so hopefully my weight won’t have gone up in the morning!

And really, that’s all that matters. Just gotta pick ourselves up, dust off, learn a lesson, and move on.

Heck, it took me two years to finally “survive” Thanksgiving raw. And my diet was usually out the window from the moment I woke…no healthy raw breakfast for me!

Oh my gosh, hey Marjorie! Long time no post!
I understand your need for a break, as I took one as well for about a year. Now that your back, I’ll be checking the blog regularly so you better keep it fresh and tidy for me!
